What happened to normal ?

The last 10 minutes of the movie Tombstone, Doc Holiday (played by Val Kilmer) is on his death bed with his best friend Wyatt Earp (Kurt Russel).  Wyatt was telling Doc that everything in his life just wasn’t right.  He just wanted to live a normal life.  Doc replied to him..  “There is no normal life, there is just life.  So go live it.”  Words to live by.

The one biggest thing we can all do to better ourselves is learn how to react to what we call problems.  We will always go through life with difficult circumstances but its how we learn to overcome our response, relearning basic understandings of life itself.  We can’t control a person or a problem, but we can respond to it in a different and positive way.  Over the last several months I have been living by the rule “Everything (good and what we perceive is bad) happens for a reason.”  But truly living this rule took and is taking a lot of work.  Picture a glass of water that is nearly full. There is no more room in the glass for fresh water.  So you have to pour out the old water in order to make room for the new.  This is what you have to do in order to move forward on so many levels in your life.

You have to let go and just allow it to happen naturally.  Doing less, will give you more of what your looking for…  but you have to stay on your goal and keep doing things to improve yourself and your ability to get you where you want to be.

As most of my blogs, I tend to ramble about how to create change in your life.  This blog is no different.  I just want to put ideas out there, ones I know that work.  Let go and just allow.  Believe in yourself, believe in your dreams…. and don’t give up.

Keeping Life in-Focus.

  1. Nicely said, take a look at the The Positive Thinking Secret Life by Aaron Kennard. It has the theme of good in every thing.
